The pastor, identified as Roger Scalice, 75, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 27, following an investigation by the Chico Police Department into a claim that Scalice had inappropriately touched a minor child with whom he had access for over a year. During their investigation, police said detectives found several conversations in which Scalice admitted to the conduct.

Scalice is mentioned as a pastor, but most reports have scrubbed the name of the church. However I discovered that he was a pastor of Butte Bible Fellowship in Chico. It’s very common that these churches remove the names of their pastors from the website without any notice of the arrest or alleged crime. See the screenshot below:

Notice the staff page says “[to come]” yet if we pull up archives of the site, we can see Robert Scalice listed as the pastor:

It’s important to point out that the brief biography the person is connected with an Evangelical church, and on top of that, the church scrubbed his name from their staff page without a reason why, and the alleged abuser has connection to ministries in the Philippines. If the allegations are proved or admitted, this may become a much larger investigation.
