Luis Sosa, 50, is suspected of committing a series of sexual assaults against children between 2002 and 2008 in Iredell County, North Carolina. According to an investigation spanning multiple states and countries, Sosa brought two minors — ages 13 and 17 at the time — from Argentina to the United States, telling them it was a “once-in-a-lifetime” mission trip. Detectives said Sosa led a ministry at the time. He was granted temporary guardianship of the children during their travels and allegedly sexually abused both of them.
