David Mark Sabin

Although, not a pastor, this is an authority figure at a christian school. The school (Oak Hill Christian) is affiliated with it’s governing Baptist church body. A former teacher is behind bars after police say he twice tried to arrange sexual encounters with children — who turned out to be undercover detectives.

Investigators say David Mark Sabin initiated sexually explicit conversations with an officer he believed was a 14-year-old and even made plans to travel to Fairfax County to meet the child. Detectives later connected him to a separate incident in October 2024, where he allegedly attempted the same crime with another undercover detective posing as a minor.

On Monday, with support from the Virginia State Police and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax County officers executed a search warrant at Sabin’s home and took him into custody.

Sabin now faces a long list of serious charges: four counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts of producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), attempted aggravated sexual battery, attempted object sexual penetration, attempted sodomy, and attempted indecent liberties.

He is currently being held without bond.

Authorities say the case underscores both the persistence of online predators and the growing role of undercover operations in stopping them before they can harm real children.
