Ritchason was the lead pastor for the non-denominational / evangelical church, Riverside Community Church. He is charged with distributing sexual material (nude photos of himself) to a minor over Snapchat. To make the charges a bit more chilling, Ritchason was once an elementary school teacher.

Tazewell County prosecutors have formally charged a pastor for allegedly sending sexually graphic photographs of himself to a minor last summer.

The church itself is doing the head in the sand approach to this problem. Visiting the site there is no mention of the lead pastor being arrested or any indication that something has happened. Instead we just see a notice that an interim pastor is now in charge. It truly disturbs me when churches do not disclose, as it sends a message that “all is well here.”
