Charles L. Johnson Jr

Although an old case, it is now in the public again as the victim is seeking damages from the Assemblies of God church. The case is about an Assemblies of God pastor, Charles L. Johnson Jr., who was convicted of sexual assault in 2006 and the conviction was later upheld in 2008 appeals.

The victim is now suing the Assemblies of God for damages relating to the crime.

Charles L. Johnson Jr., 54, the former head of the Norwich Assembly of God, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years of special parole after a conviction by a jury on charges of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
